The Royal George's 1st Birthday
This summer marks a very special milestone for The Royal George as we celebrate one wonderful year in Tintern.
From Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August 2026, we’re marking our first anniversary with a weekend of celebrations, bringing together everything we love about life at The Royal George. Great food, flowing drinks, live entertainment and plenty of reasons to raise a glass.
Whether you’ve been part of our journey from the very beginning or are discovering us for the first time, join us in the heart of the Wye Valley as we toast to an incredible first year!
Weekend Opener
31st July | 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Kick off the weekend with Damaged Goods, one of the region’s most popular live bands, performing live as the evening gets into full swing. Enjoy freshly made pizza, complimentary soft serve ice cream and summer drinks from the Garden Bar.
The Royal George's Birthday
1st August | 1:30pm - 9:00pm
Celebrate The Royal George’s 1st Birthday with a full day of live music, fire-cooked feasting and family fun.
1:00pm–3:00pm:
Ease into the afternoon with live acoustic music from Florence Hills, performing two relaxed 45-minute sets. Throughout the afternoon, watch the chefs at work over the live fire pit, cooking Tomahawk steaks and premium meats, alongside fresh seasonal flatbreads straight from the pizza oven. Little ones can join the celebrations with face painting and glitter from The Glitter Queen, plus complimentary soft serve.
7:00pm–9:00pm:
As evening arrives, The Harrison Trio takes over The Royal George, bringing another session of live acoustic music to the celebrations. The Upper Deck will be serving exclusive birthday specials throughout the day.
Lazy Sunday Sessions
2nd AUGUST | 1:30pm - 2:15pm
Ease into Sunday with Lazy Sunday Sessions, featuring relaxed live music from Sophie & Milliana Cottrell under the stretch tent. Settle in for an afternoon of pizza, complimentary soft serve ice cream and drinks from the Garden Bar.
